Jeepers!

Sunday, August 3rd, 2003

One of my cousins - Supriya has her birthday today (Sunday, August 03). We ended up celebrating it tonight (Saturday) and we all went to Jeepers! to celebrate her birthday. Well, if any of you guys have been there, they have this little roller coaster inside, which by the way hurt my back so much that I had to call quits.

Well, here’s a picture that Ritu took with her really cool phone while we were riding the roller coaster. So the funny part is that we took this picture while we were going up the thing. If you are really curious and wanna know why we took it while going up, then I’m sorry - keep guessing.

The Matrix Reloaded

Thursday, May 15th, 2003

The movie was not bad at all. I had not seen the Matrix up until last year when Karthik decided to show me the light. I downloaded the movie from Kazaa (the one and the only) and saw it on a 17″ screen … a total disrespect of the movie. However, I was impressed with the story line, but did not have high hopes for the sequel. Name one movie where the sequel was better than the original! I think people who had high hopes to be enlightened more on the ’secret’ of this world were disappointed but that wasn’t the case with me. I went there to enjoy the action sequences, try and understand the techical bullshit that they explain, and just have a good time with friends. I must admit, the action sequences were unbelievable and the superman thing that reeves does is off the hook. Even though he needs to stop thinking he is superman and stop trying to fly with one arm over his head. In any case, it was worth my money and I would not mind watching it again. Eveybody should definitely go see it atleast once.

The Matrix?

Saturday, May 10th, 2003

Hardly two more weeks to go, including finals before I have total time to waste myself. The matrix is coming out on the 15th but Lowe’s is playing a 10pm show the night before on the 14th. I’ll try and get tickets for my brother and I. No better way to cap off the last day of classes (which is also the 14th). And besides, I love Lowe’s because it like hardly 7 minutes from my house and I go there a lot.

Anyways, the website needs a lot of work … both internally and a facelift. Expect something in about three weeks (after finals). Internally, I am really keen on writing my own code instead of downloading some third party software. I think it’ll be a great way to learn. Let’s hope for the best. Adios.

Spring Break

Wednesday, March 26th, 2003

Believe it or not, Spring Break has been keeping me more occupied than school ever did. I have not been catching up on sleep, haven’t had enough time for myself (which is why I haven’t updated the site in so long) and then what about chilling? I think the problem is that I’ve been working too much. Anyways, Ritu passed her BIG exam and is now in the next level. She thinks that it got much harder than it used to be for the first few weeks of the semester. Good luck Ritu. She also got her wisdom teeth pulled (yes, all 4!) on Monday … she talks funny now … haha. Get better soon. I am looking forward to going to Bhangra Blowout afterparty … apparently its at the post office museum or something … we’ll see. India was a big disappointment during the finals of the 2003 world cup … we lost to the Aussies but you gotta give it to them for making 359 runs. Gokul had his spring break party on Friday and it was fun but unfortunately, I left early. Ami and I and a bunch of her cousins went to Insomnia after Gok’s party and had fun but we missed our dear friends. Here are pictures from the party @gocool.org
