War of the Worlds

Comments: This Steven Spielberg movie was mildly entertaining. I personally thought that it lacked a strong story line or maybe I was just waiting for some climax in the movie. As far as I saw it, it left a lot of unanswered concerns in my mind and a general sense of dissonance. The entire movie is nothing but a story of how a man runs from one place to another with his daughter. At each so called ‘peak’ in the story, there is nothing extraordinary that grabs the viewer’s attention.

Uhmm… the book is based off this amazing book by author H.G.Wells, written in the mid 1800’s. At that time, this story was ground-breaking. I don’t think a weak storyline is its fault.

I haven’t really been too impressed with Spielberg/Tom Cruise’s past few movies (think Minority Report & Vanilla Sky).
