Driving in the Snow

It was probably the worst day to wake up 25 minutes before class when your commute to school is 20 minutes by itself. Anyhow, its 11:35 and my mom wakes me up wondering if I have class today. It takes me 10 seconds to realize what is going on and then I just jump off the bed in a rush. I brush my teeth, change my clothes, and am out in the next 15 minutes. Mind you it’s 11:50 by now and my class is at 12:00.

The worst was yet to come. I look outside and everything is convered in snow. Aw man! Luckily, I had parked my car inside the garage so no car cleaning involved (phew!). Anyways, I set out on my daily commute to school and it was hard to go 20mph without having your car slip.

I decide to take I-95 just like I do everyday and to my surprise, it was jammed. However, the jams were temporary as within 3 miles, I saw at least 10 cars and trucks on the median or the shoulder with at least 6 police cars and 5 fire trucks. All together there might have been 4-5 separate incidents.

Long story short, a 20 minute commute took me an hour.
