Had a ood discussion abtou this at work today, and yea Pannu who cares what he does in his personal time. As long as he is doing his job without a problem then let him be.

Well, the same reason Clinton was impeached for having an extramarital affair.
Theoretically, we concentrate on the merits of his work as a civil servant. But as somebody leading the country, or setting an example for the rest, or supposed to be representing a lot of the population, he does not reflect the value of the society he represents anymore.
Not to judge what he does is right or wrong, but he simply isn’t in a position to represent the values of the people that elected him. I’d say that makes a rather good case for a resignation.

Oh, and that it was homosexual didn’t do him much good either in this decade of contraversy over rights for homosexuals.

either the reason for his resignation was revealed. he was just let off the humilation factor i suppose.
